MAC Rebel

I'm in love with this lippie! Its color is one of a kind. So if you're bored with your usual pinks and reds, why not go for something insanely eye-catching, like this berry-pink baby? By the way, I borrowed this from my Mom, for the sake of posting this! :D I'm gonna have my own MAC Rebel soon. That's two purple lippies for me! YAY!

Click here for a review of the luscious lipstick by Temptalia. :)

Now you're gonna see my face

Then my face again, and another, and another.

Okay. If you've read my past posts you would know that I'm really not fond of collages, although I admit they're actually pretty to look at. But I had to try out my new gadget's Photo Booth which had this feature. Our family's old Mac computer is almost through serving its purpose. It's been with us since 2006. As much as I don't want to let it go, sooner or later I might have to say goodbye to it. Sob. :(

Moving on to another topic, classes have just started again, and I hate to say this but I might not be able post here as often as I did last month. Lessons will start piling up, and exams will suck the energy out of me. It's my second year in Medicine school and sleep would be of utmost importance to me in the months to come. I do hope I may squeeze in some time for my make up posts. Speaking of which, the four faces you see there are wearing MAC Up the Amp. It's the only purple lipstick I own, and to my dismay the bullet broke in half ages ago. It didn't stop me from using it though, only now I use a brush so the affected part would not budge.

I just realized I wrote about two MAC's today. Hahaha.

Garage Glamorous

Took inspiration from Lady Gaga's song, Paparazzi. I'm so excited for her concert next week I can barely sit still!
Without eyeliner
Err, not sure why my hand's placed on my face like that

Eyes: e.l.f. eyeshadow palette - I used the colors pink, purple, and eggplant(yes, you heard it right). I swiped pink on the lids, purple on the outer v's, and eggplant on the bottom of the lids, right above the lash lines. Blend really well! It doesn't matter how long it takes, cos blending's the key to pretty eye makeup! Don't forget to put a light colored eyeshadow on top and on the inner corners of your eyes.

Lips: But of course, MAC Viva Glam Gaga lippie

I suggest not putting too much eyeliner on cos it might conceal the eggplant colored eyeshadow. :)

Just to see you nude

I-it's not what you think it is!

Yeah right. Kinky title. Called it as such because this look is perfect when wearing nude colored dresses for special occasions. Take note, special occasions, cos you might go overboard wearing make up like this on an ordinary sunny day. Wait. Scratch that. This might work on a fun night out, too.

I did this last February, as preparation for my friend's look for a frat's induction ball she was attending. She asked me to go do her make up for her, so I eagerly agreed, of course. Love you, Nicole. <3 I did it on myself first to see if the colors would look good together.

Cranberry + gold, a little brown on the hollows of your eyes, YUM-UH.

Add a pop of color to your lips, let's say, MAC Craving, shall we? And you're good to go.

Pardon the bushy eyebrows and the messy eyeliner,  I only did this for a little more than 5 minutes.
Remember: it's okay to break the rules sometimes, but see to it that it's for the right reasons. A dark eyeshadow color calls for light colored lips, but as you can see, I used neutral colors for the eyes, so it really doesn't give that clownish effect. Also, this is quite acceptable especially when going for a nude attire.

Ch-ch-cherries and chocolates

One of the basic makeup rules(unless you wanna look clownish) is toning down the eyes when a dark shade of lipstick is preferred, and vice versa. Like this one look I made.

Ahh, RED. My ultimate favorite color, which, by the way, is my color of choice for my lips. Way back I often wear red lipstick(yes, even in school, though more toned down) but when I started dreaming of becoming a MUA I began venturing on other shades like pinks, purples, and oranges. I'm still in love with red lippies and If I get to be stuck on an island with just one lipstick in hand I'd bring my Ruby Woo with me. Now what are the odds I'd actually get stranded, hmm?

Ta-da! Finished product.

Not obvious here, but I used gold on my lids, then white eyeshadow over the gold for a more subdued look.

Finally, dark brown on my outer v's, white eyeliner on my bottom waterlines, and brown eyeliner on my upper lashlines and bottom waterlines. Wow that's a mouthful.

Just my two cents: If you like applying eyeliner on your bottom lashline, it's better using a brown one cos it'll look more natural than when using black.

Okay, uhm, ignore my Mom's freaky college grad pic at the back.

See what I did there? Dark lipstick, and just the right amount of eyeshadow, nothing too dark, cos you wanna draw attention to your lips.

On my lips: Nichido red liner, MAC Russian Red
On my eyes: e.l.f. 100-shade palette(dark brown, gold, and white), Prestige white eyeliner, MAC Stubborn Brown eye pencil), Majolica Majorca Lash Gorgeous Wing Neo mascara
